the outset walnut & veneered back-panel with raised pointed pediment, the clock housing with a figure of Atlas holding a celestial globe, atop an alarm bell, enclosed & surmounted by raised, cast, pierced brackets with figures representing Faith, Hope & Charity, monogrammed shield & inscribed with the Dutch motto NU-ELK-FYN-FIN (to each his own) to the front & armorial side frets, above gilt-metal spiral twist columns, enclosing a velvet panel with silvered Roman numeral chapter ring & wheat ear markers, pierced hands & embellished with winged putto masque spandrels, glazed side panels, over vase-shaped & pierced bracket supports (With suspension chains, figural pendulum & 2 x brass pear-shaped weights) (Height: 60.5cm)
