the raised & carved scroll, leaf & shell crest above a stepped cornice frieze, the banjo-shaped frame with raised carved & fretted scolling acanthus leaf, floral boss & Greek-key embellishment, fitted with a brass framed timepiece with glazed hinged door, enamel Roman numeral dial & black leaf hands, further mounted with a thermometer & flanged brass framed & glazed aneroid dial, the affixed silver plaque inscribed: Presented to the Rev J.S.
