with posthumous signature, on a conforming naturalistic base, mounted on an ebonised wooden oval-shaped platform base, on bun feet (Total height: 43cm) Note: The original Marly Horses were sculpted in 1743–1745 in Carrara marble by Guillaume Coustou, showing two rearing horses with their groom.
