Freiburg, Germany circa 1899 – 1930 the clock case with arched door panel featuring a stylised Rococo-style scrolling leaf & rocaille cartouche embellished crest, over an inset glazed circular concave panel & beaded & fluted banded frieze, above a 3- bevel-glazed door aperture, enclosing a Martele pewter Arabic numeral floral centered dial with dauphine & leaf black-painted metal hands; the movement striking on the hour & chiming on the quarter & half, fitted with 3 x suspension chains, 3 x weights & a pendulum, on a plinth base with beaded border, on turned feet, (With original paper label remnant on the reverse) (Height: 198cm) (Condition report: Minor split to base) Note: The brand was created in 1899, and in 1930 it merged with Junghans, a large clockmaker in Schramberg, Baden-Württemberg
