Description

Originally invented and designed by Mr. Daniel Cooke of Camden, New Jersery in 1888, the raised figured and cast standing clown figure wearing an outfit and cap in red, black and yellow and white boots, brown painted dog and barrel, the operation of the money bank is initiated by placing a coin in the dog’s mouth, which by pressing the lever on the right hand-side of the bank, which then the pup springs upward through the hoop, dropping the money into the barrel, set on a rectangular platform base, over a lower red painted front panel with embossed yellow lettering: Trick Dog and left side-panel, further inscribed: Bank, raised on a shaped bracket base (18 x 19.5 x 7cm)
