Maker: Henry Matthews, Birmingham 1902, the conical blue glass waisted body surmounted by a flared, everted and foliated ruffled rim, over an incised, engraved and bright-cut acanthus leaf border, further enhanced and profusely ornamented with repousse vacant rocaille cartouches, interspersed with finely incised, engraved and bright-cut openwork trellis panels and all over cascading rose, blossom, clematis and forget-me-not motifs and further leafy scrollwork, held within a conforming lower panelled and shallow fluted and reeded collar stem, on a stepped circular rising base (Height: 21.5cm, diameter: 11cm) (Base loaded) (Total weighable mass including glass body and loading: 602g) (Condition report: Dents evident to base foot rim)
