Issued in 1937, Ltd edition no. 411/2000, the waisted body featuring a ribbon and reed decorated rim, crowned relief profile of H.M. King Edward VIII, swirling ribbons inscribed: Edward R.I. and God Save The King, further adorned with heraldic shields, the Royal Standard and flags of the United Kingdom, attached conforming wreathen incised strapwork handles inscribed with the Commonwealth countries: Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, South Africa, Trinidad, Jamaica and Barbados, verso depicting St George mounted on horseback with Windsor Castle in the distance, heralding a trumpet, on a circular rising fluted and moulded base, inscribed on the underside: To celebrate The Reign of His Gracious Majesty Edward VIII, King of England, Emperor of India…Loved and Honoured by All His People and factory backstamp on the underside (Height: 26cm, diameter: 19.7cm)
