Note: Abraham Fischer (1850–1913) was a prominent Afrikaner politician and statesman who played a significant role in the Orange River Colony and the formation of the Union of South Africa. He was a member of the Executive Council of the Orange Free State and a key negotiator for the Boer republics. He served in the first Union Cabinet as Minister for Lands and later Minister for Railways and Harbours. His grandfather was prime minister of the Orange Free State.
