the rectangular-shaped top with moulded and rebated edge, featuring 2 x concave pen trays, a central riveted vacant shield cartouche, flanked by 2 x riveted square brass inkwell recesses, holding cut-glass ink pots with gilt metal collars, surmounted by a cast brass baton carry handle, further adorned with riveted cut brass strapwork corners, over a single long stationery drawer, with conforming strapwork and spandrel backplate on a plinth base ( 17.5 x 43 x 25.3cm) (Condition report: Age wearing, oxidation and minor imperfection evident to cut-glass ink pots, split evident to case)
