Henning, inlaid with bone and coloured bone fillets and roundels, flanked between rounded, incised and tapered post supports, over a 24-panel lattice backrest and conforming bottom rail, united by integral conforming incised, downcurved, and shaped naive fretted arms, on notched stile supports, 4 x sectional simulated riempie strung seats, over a conforming grooved and dowelled seat rail and integral panel stretcher, on notched square tapered legs (90 x 200 x 58cm) (Condition report: Later riempie seat replacements, losses to inlay and decoration) Note: According to our research J.C. Henning lived in the Klerksdorp area and was possibly a Boer P.O.W.
