Maker: Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik, Geislingen an der Steige c. 1906-1914, stamped WMF, I/O, OX and EP marks, the raised, cast everted and flared rim with beak spout and hinged open-cast wreathen and berry finialled cover, integral cast foliate scrollwork embellished strapwork handle, over a graduated incised and reeded collar, ornamented with raised and embossed scrolling acanthus leaf and stop-fluted anthemion flowerhead embellishment, and further adorned with cascading laurel wreathen swag banding, supported over a lower waisted clear glass body with cut and etched Secessionist geometric panels, on a circular base (Height: 42cm) (Condition report: Age wearing, oxidation to plating, handle slightly bent and scratches evident to the base, clouding to glass)
