the tin glazed earthenware dished body featuring in the central reserve, a Classical urn containing a floral bouquet of aster daisies, crocus and chrysanthemums, enclosed bg a leafy scrollwork border, further surrounded by sectional stylised floral and foliate serrated spandrel panels, in shades of iron red, cobalt and green, framed by a mustard yellow painted scalloped rim, verso with factory marks , artist’s initials HL and W H, retailer’s gold foil label: Verloop Valerius Str, 98, Den Haag and wire attachment hook (Diameter: 28.5cm) PLUS a smaller hexagonal cabinet plate with foliated rim, depicting a Dutch woman churning butter, enclosed by a flower and leaf decorated border, verso with manufactory backstamp (3 x 13.7 x 13.7cm)
