Serial tag no. 010.39.4908.70, rectangular-shaped, featuring finely stitched leather carry handle, buckles, strapwork, piping and the iconic interlocking micro G G tan monogram on a beige canvas ground, fitted with brushed brass and gold-plated hardware, enclosing a lined interior with stitched and woven creme straps, inscribed: Gucci, fitted with trademark tag, buckles and bands, the case further supported on bolster feet (1 x gold-plated band deficient) (With original keyring holder, luggage tag, gold-plated lock and keys) (48 x 68.5 x 20cm) (Condition report: Scuff marks, age wearing to canvas and leather and minor losses evident) Provenance: Originally gifted by Gordon Waddell (Scottish born 1937-2012) (Progressive Party MP 1974-1987, Executive Director of Anglo American Corporation of South Africa Ltd) to his secretary Ursula Hurley c. late 1970s
